HMMMM....

So I got a new bed set. My original plan was green tea colored bedding with brown walls. As you can see somehow I chose this chocolate brown bedding. I am not sure if I love it or not, but Ben really likes it and doesn't want the green stuff and I'm not sure I want to return it all since I have to do mostly online shopping. SO...Now I am stuck. What color should I paint? I don't want to do brown for fear it will all be brown and boring. So...Any thoughts? I've considered soft yellow, Ben suggests a wheat/tan color, how about pale olive like Andrea's lovely kitchen? What do you guys think? Any other ideas?

On a more important note Charlie started his first season of soccer. He was super excited about it and had his first game Wednesday night. He got tired and grumpy before the game started and almost didn't play! Luckily we talked him into it and he had a wonderful time!

He was playing with a goofy grin on his face half the time. Which I loved but wasn't able to get on camera! He is number 4. My brother-in -law Bret volunteered to be their coach and is doing a great job! Thanks Coach Bret!

Also keep your fingers crossed for Andy..He really struggles with his bottles and it seems like they cause him pain. So we are going to have an upper GI study done at the hospital to see what is going on, possibly reflux. If that doesn't tell us anything there is a feeding therapist we have an appointment with. I hope it works out soon!
We think he's pretty wonderful!

I really like Chocolate brown. There are so many colors that would look good. Tea Green or olive would look good with brown. Right now it seems the trend is to put a light blue or pink with brown. Ben probably wouldn't like pink but blue would look nice and probably brighten up the room. I hope all is well with Andy. It's so hard to take babies in for test. I think it hurts you more than it hurts them.

Thanks for the suggestion Rachel! I really do like that muted soft blue I see paired with browns a lot. I never even really thought of it though! I would just have to get different throw pillows. Hmmmm..Again..Still deciding!

Your boys are so cute! I liket he idea of maybe a pale olive color. Or a pale tan color. You probably won't have the comforter for the rest of your life so go with something that will go with other color's of bedding also.

OK, I'm a little bold when it comes to decorating so my personal opinion is no chocolate brown walls becuase you really want your bed to stand out as the focal point, not blend in. Wheat tan would be "safe", but a little boring to me. If I were you and if you do like green, I'd take one of those green pillows from your bed to either Walmart of Lowes where they can color match and get that color (not forest green though) then do either all your walls that or the wall behind your bed that and the rest the wheat tan color. Also, those pillows look a little Asian to me so I'd pick up a picture or two and a couple accents that look Asian and have some golds, greens, and pinks in them to pull the whole style together. Then maybe even find some silky same color green curtains (floor length) to go on any windows in the room. JC Penny is great for a large selection and good prices as far as curtains go. Sorry, that was probably more oppion than you wanted. I couldn't help myself. Cute boys by the way and I hope everything is OK with Andy.

Lee'sa I most definitely don't think I can have too much opinion. I appreciate it! I agree too with what you said. I am still not even so sure I'm going to keep the bedding but if I do I will probably do green walls. I'll let you know how it all turns out!

Love the new bed set! My opinion on wall color is to keep it light and refreshing. I love having a bright, airy space for the sun to come into in the morning. I just think it would be too overwhelming to have dark walls. I think something in the green family to match your pillows...or I saw this really cool thing you can do with a tan paint. It's in the Lowe's project mailer this week. I'll have to email it to you. It's really cool!

Andy, that does look cool and may go that way if my first attempt fails. I just can't see myself with a green bedroom although I love my green bathroom. So, as usual I just yesterday haphazardly went and bought some paint. It's freakin' dark though! I love the color in the picture, and I will try it on one wall and see how I feel. If I hate it I can change my mind. Thanks to all who voted. I had to agree with Nicole that I will get another new bedset before I want to repaint so I just chose something I liked that would match a few other colors. I picked up "estate vineyard" from Behr brand at home depot. It's a deep wine color. I see people's point about a light fresh bedroom, but I love warm rich tones for sleeping and I hope I am not crazy! Wish me luck.

I am a little late commenting..seems like I am behind on everything these days. But if your wine color doesn't work out or if you want a nice neutral wheat like color to paint the other walls with. We used "tangier island" by ralph lauren in our bedroom and basement. It is a beautiful tan/wheat color that goes great with almost everything. My friend has her whole house painted this color and it is so beautiful.
